i really admire Japanese architect Toyo Ito's talents. his Ripples 2004 bench for Horm is such an attention-grabber. it layers five different laminated woods - walnut, mahogany, cherry, oak and beech. the dish-shaped depressions wonderfully show off its wood grain and colours. the rich colours warm up your vision but its clean lines and visual effects make it truely contemporary.
